“Being artist-in-resident at Titanik in February, I focused on collecting recordings of nature surrounding the city of Turku, particularly devoting my attention to the sounds of water and its many states – both liquid and frozen. I weaved them into hazy compositions and created a world at the intersection of the natural and the unnatural, a thoughtful dialogue between acoustics and electronics.
The work resulting from Martyna’s sonic explorations during the residency, has been supported by Berlin-based HEM and will soon become a part of their archive.”
