TITANIK LIBRARY on vuoden 2019 alussa käynnistynyt hanke, jonka merkeissä Titanikille on alettu kerryttää näyttelykohtaista kirjastoa. Jokaista Titanikin näyttelyä varten hankitaan sitä kehystävää kirjallisuutta dialogissa näyttelyn tekijöiden kanssa. Sekä taiteilijoiden työskentely että yksittäiset näyttelyprojektit saavat näin laajemman kehyksen. Lisäksi TITANIK LIBRARYn merkeissä järjestetään avoimia lukupiiritapaamisia ja keskusteluja. Kirjastohankkeen avulla haluamme ottaa aikaa Titanikin ohjelmiston sisältöjen avaamiseen, ja samalla luomme tilaa yhdessä lukemiselle ja oppimiselle.

TITANIK LIBRARY, launched at the start of 2019, is a project aiming at creating an exhibition-based library at Titanik. Since 2019, we have been acquiring literature for each of our exhibitions in dialogue with the artists involved. The aim is to provide a framework for both artistic practices and the exhibition projects themselves. Titanik Library entails also public reading group sessions and discussions. The library project aims to open up topics in contemporary art in relation to Titanik’s programming, as well as to create a space for reading and learning together.
