Titanik A.i.R Epilogue | Juan Duarte

director

“I am deeply honored to have spent the month of July as an artist-in-residence at Titanik. My time in Turku was both inspiring and solacing, allowing me to focus on ongoing and future projects. It also provided a unique opportunity to immerse myself in the sound art scene of Kemiö (Sound Art Days) and further my research on Atmospheric Listening.

One highlight was collaborating with OOO Radio for an online broadcast titled Sensorial-scapes, which explored the Vartiovuori area through an attuning sonic intervention. Using weather sensor data from near Titanik Gallery, I created ephemeral soundscapes designed to increase our awareness of the environment, encouraging us to experience our surroundings in new and profound ways.

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the Titanik community for their unwavering support and recognition of my work. I look forward to continued collaborations with this vibrant and inspiring community.”
