Käytämmekö tulevaisuudessa alumiinisia puujalkoja, jotta kenkämme eivät kastuisi? Syömme samoilta lautasilta. Lainaa vesilasi henkilöltä, joka tarkkailee säätä. Tarvitseeko näyttelyä varten tuottaa uusia asioita? Pianistin suolasaippua. On olemassa peite, jolla lämmitetään maa. Tajuton henkilö makasi automarketin lattialla, ostoskärryjen jatkaessa tasaisesti kulkuaan. Maalauksen edessä kulkeva nauha erottaa arvokkaan arvottomasta. Jätän puhelimeni tähän. Yksi kaupungin Airbnb-asunnoista on tyhjillään. Huomaako kukaan esineiden poissaoloa?
Titanikissa esilläoleva näyttely koostuu lainatuista esineistä, sekä näyttelyn koonneen Tatu Gustafssonin henkilökohtaisista tavaroista. Vaihtelevan ajan taideteoksina esiintyvät esineet palautetaan laina-ajan jälkeen niiden arkisiin käyttötarkoituksiin.
Esineitä näyttelyyn ovat lainanneet muun muassa taikuri, automarketti, tulevaisuuden tutkija, uneton sekä museo. Erityisen suuri kiitos kaikille, jotka lainasivat esineitä näyttelyyn!

Will we use stilts made out of aluminium in the future, for our shoes not to get wet? Eat from shared plates. Borrow a glass of water from the person who monitors the weather. Is it necessary to produce new things for an exhibition? A pianist’s salt soap. There’s a blanket that warms up the land. An unconscious person was lying on the floor at a supermarket as shopping carts went steadily by. A ribbon in front of a painting separates the valuable from the worthless. I’ll leave my phone here. One of this town’s Airbnb flats is empty. Does anyone notice the absence of objects?
The exhibition at Titanik consists of borrowed objects and personal belongings of Tatu Gustafsson, who has convened the exhibition. The objects perform as works of art for varying time periods, and return to their everyday uses once the loan time has passed.
Objects at the exhibition are on loan from a magician, a supemarket, a futurologist, an insomniac and a museum, among others. A very special thank you to everyone who have leant objects for the exhibition!
