Lauri Tujula’s works can be described as newmedia art where his expertise on graphic design and gaming is combined. He is particularly interested in how to incorporate games and new virtual reality technologies to his artistic work. For his solo exhibition at Titanik, Tujula will build a multi-medial piece reflecting his own life.

Titanik A.i.R. open call for 2018
Titanik artist-in-residence programme (Turku, Finland) offers one – to three-month residencies for artists working in the intersection of sound and contemporary art. The application period is 21.3.–14.4.2017 and the call is for 2018.

Call for curators
Artists’ run space Titanik (based in Turku, Finland) invites curators to apply for 1-2 week residencies during May, June or July 2017. The focus is both on local and international curators who are interested in connecting with Turku art scene and meeting active members of the Artists’ Association Arte who runs both Titanik and Titanik residency program.

Marloes van Son builds systems, installations and instruments. The electromechanical objects that she develops, explore natural phenomena and everyday appliances. By repurposing ordinary objects, she aims to create unusual, yet familiar experiences. Many of her works start from a visual component, but sound is always an integral part of the eventual piece.
