DEADLINE: 4th of May
This residency is realised as part of an exchange between Arte/Titanik (Finland) and Sodas 2123 (Lithuania).
Residency period: September – October 2026 Residency at Sodas 2123, Vilnius
WHO CAN APPLY
This call is for Finland based artists working in the field(s) of sound and sonic practices or the intersection of sound with performance and/or digital media.
ABOUT THE RESIDENCY
Titanik (Turku, Finland) and Sodas 2123 (Vilnius, Lithuania) invite emerging and established artists based in Finland to apply for a two month residency based in Vilnius, Lithuania. The residency does not require the production of new works, or an exhibition output. The focus of the residency is to provide time and space to temporarily lean away from the intensities of daily routines, to focus on artistic research and to begin a collaborative dialogue with the local art scenes.
In 2026, Sodas 2123 residency programme places a special focus on sound art, resistance through sonic practices, and forms of collectivity. Participants are invited to explore sound as a medium of expression, activism, and social engagement, reflecting on how listening, voice, and auditory experiences can shape collective processes and respond to contemporary political and cultural conditions.
Grounded in openness and mutual support, the SODAS 2123 Residency Programme encourages experimentation, shared learning, and the development of both individual and collective practices.
ABOUT SODAS 2123
SODAS 2123 is a self-governing, community-driven cultural centre operated and curated by the Lithuanian Interdisciplinary Artists’ Association. It serves as a meeting point for creators and researchers from diverse fields, whose practices are rooted in experimentation, the development of unexpected formats, and a critical engagement with contemporary cultural, social, geopolitical, and ecological issues.
The centre hosts a vibrant and multidisciplinary community, bringing together over 50 artists’ studios alongside rehearsal spaces for musicians, offices for design, film, and visual arts organisations, as well as exhibition and event spaces. SODAS 2123 also includes various workshops, a café, a public outdoor garden, and an allotment, fostering both artistic production and everyday communal life.
RESIDENCY CONDITIONS

Residents are welcome to use the available SODAS 2123 equipment throughout their stay. Accommodation is offered free of charge in a 19 m² studio room, suitable for one person or a couple.
