TITANIK OPEN CALL FOR 2027

director

Titanik invites proposals from Finland-based and  International artists, artist groups and curators for exhibitions, events and other artistic projects for the gallery’s 2027 programme. The programme will feature 5-6 week exhibition periods intertwined with a few shorter events that can include concerts, performances, book launches, and other projects.

Titanik wishes to support artistic experimentation, aesthetic and conceptual attunements to current discussions in present-day society. It welcomes projects that challenge dominant narratives and disciplinary boundaries, revisit and reimagine histories and comment on or intervene in our political and societal currents. Titanik aims to support work that strives to crack and crumble established social and cultural normativities, imagining alternate ways of relating to each other.

Titanik offers

The gallery space is free of charge, and Titanik offers AV equipment, installation support and an artist fee. Please note that the gallery does not cover production, transport, or travel costs.

Selection procedure

Arte’s board together with the artistic director will make the Open Call selections in collaboration with this year’s invited guest jury. This year we are joined by artist Juliana Irene Smith as a guest jury member.

Titanik aims to engage with every proposal equally without any presuppositions or biases, and attention is given to everyone’s needs. No form of harassment or discrimination is tolerated at Titanik.
