Parantola, 2.–22.7.2016
Arte ry avaa heinäkuussa 2016 Paimion parantolaan sijoittuvan Parantola -taidetapahtuman. Näyttelyyn valikoidut taiteilijat Anna Torkkel & Masi Tiitta, Anni Puolakka, Essi Kausalainen, Frank Brümmel, Harri Laakso, Hertta Kiiski, Jaakko Pallasvuo, Mikko Kuorinki & Lisa Radon sekä Tero Nauha tuovat tuberkuloosiparantolaan tilasidonnaisia teoksia ja esityksiä, jotka ovat varta vasten suunniteltu väliaikaista Parantola -näyttelyä varten.

Lazy Susan
3.–24.6.2016. The group show Lazy Susan curated by Kio Griffith and Ichiro Irie is the inaugural effort by the curatorial collective, QiPO. The show explores the concept of collaboration and its limits with the title, “Lazy Susan” referring to the revolving trays often found in the center of round tables at Chinese restaurants.

Miriam Hamann: One minute of arc
Miriam Hamann (s. 1986) on itävaltalainen taiteilija, joka työskentelee parhaillaan Titanik A.i.R. residenssiohjelmassa. One minute of arc -näyttelyn teokset ovat tuloksia jokapäiväisten asioiden ja esineiden veistoksellisuuden läsnäolon tutkimisesta. Näyttelyvieraat voivat lähestyä interaktiivista installaatiota asettamalla korvansa vasten värähtelevää materiaalia. Avajaiset torstaina 19.5. klo 18–20, tervetuloa!

Constellations on free radical music
Titanikilla järjestetään perjantaina 6.5. klo 18–20.30 keskustelu- ja improvisoidun musiikin tilaisuus. Keskustelemassa Ben Watson, Sezgin Boynik ja Taneli Viitahuhta, jonka jälkeen Watson ja Viitahuhta esiintyvät yhdessä Lauri Hyvärisen kanssa. Tapahtuma järjestetään yhteistyössä Tutkijaliiton & Rab-Rab:n kanssa. Tapahtumaan on vapaa pääsy, mutta illan aikana on mahdollisuus ostaa (käteisellä) Unkantin, Tutkijaliitton ja Rab-Rab:n julkaisuja.

Bone conduction is a technology that allows you to hear a sound that is conducted directly to the inner ear through the bones. The bones are thus conducting vibrations to the inner ear bypassing the eardrum. Miriam Hamann lives and works in Vienna and Berlin. Her recent work focuses on installations which deal with space and an investigation into the sculptural presence of everyday objects.
